Guide 3 of 3

Add tickets

Tickets are how attendees register. You can mix free and paid tiers — early-bird, student, member, VIP — each with its own price, capacity, and sale window.

Takes about 5 minutes

  1. 1

    Open your event

From the Organizer Dashboard, click your event under Events, then open the Tickets tab.

  2. 2

    Click 'Add ticket'

Each ticket tier is one row. Most events start with two: an early-bird and a regular tier. You can always add more later (student, member, group rates).

    Fill in the details

    • Name — e.g. "Early Bird", "Student", "Industry"
    • Price — set to 0 for free tickets
    • Capacity — total available; leave blank for unlimited
    • Sales window — when sales open and close (defaults: now → event start)
    • Description — what's included (sessions, meals, swag, recordings)

    Set your refund policy

Pick one at the event level — it shows on every ticket page so attendees know upfront:

    • Flexible — full refund up to 7 days before
    • Standard — full refund up to 30 days before
    • Strict — no refunds; transfers allowed
    • Custom — write your own (good for academic events with PI invoicing)

    Preview and publish

Click Preview to see exactly what attendees will see. When you're happy, hit Publish — the event goes live and starts appearing in search.

You're now selling. Sales, payouts, and attendee lists all live in your dashboard.

    Tips that actually move sales

    • Launch early-bird the same day you publish — drives a clear urgency window
    • Cap early-bird at 25–30% of room capacity, not unlimited
    • Add a student tier — cheap to honour, big PR upside
    • Promote your page from your own channels first; we boost from there
